Change is invetable. Change will happen, and change is happening. Every moment is a new moment. The last moment changed into this moment and this moment will change into the next. So make this moment a memorable one will you?

Silence does not help.

  Human trafficking and Sexual Slavery

Do you know that, in our poor neighbour countries such as Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and India, approximately one million children are being trafficked every year? Yes, children. Children from the age range of 4 to 9 years are trafficked for sexual slavery and each and every child get raped for atleast 10 to 14 times a day? Most of the children do not even get the chance to live until 16 or 17 years old like us as most of them dies because of the well known AIDS disease.

Do you know that, in Mumbai, females in red light areas or sexual labourers only gets around 50 rupees for their service per customer? Which is only equivalent to 3.47 ringgits? Are we women are that cheap? Besides that, selling young girls are globalised now. They even have website pages for it and they even can deliver the young girls to the buyer on any part of the world and yes, it happens in Malaysia too. For your further information, some of the young girls that are forced into or involved in sexual slavery, also get their womb removed by their owner so that they would not get monthly period and prostitution can be carried out every single day. Don’t you think the young girls who are trafficked and forced into sexual slavery have their own dreams just like us?

Dear young ladies who are reading this, be grateful that you are not one of them. If one you happened to be sexually abused or harassed, speak up. Speak up to someone you can trust and believe or even to the school counseller, teachers or friends. Silence does not help.

A new year.

Dear 2011,

It is a brand new year. I am not praying for miracles nor wishing for magical moments like in those typical Disney fairytales. All that I am humbly asking is, I want a better year than the one that is about to pass. I just want to be really happy and live my life to the fullest and with no regrets, if it is not too much to ask.

With hope,

Menuka Vejasegaran.

To those who are reading this:

Be who you are, say what you feel and do what you want because the awful truth is, time does not wait for us. In the end, we would only regret the chances we did not take, the relationship we were afraid to have and the decisions we waited too long to make. Take a chance, just take a chance. You may never know how absolutely perfect something could turn out to be.
Quote of the day: A bend in the road is not the end of the road unless you fail to make the turn.

Writing helps.

Emotions, human emotions. Hapiness, sadness, anger, love, and fear are the most common human emotions that we are closely tied to. Whenever you’re happy, sad or even when you’re blindly in love or fired up in anger, don’t you feel like sharing it out with someone, perhaps a friend or a close buddy? I am sure you do as it is a very common thing and we’re just a bunch of commoners.

Have you ever tried writing it on a piece of paper?

If you're feeling happy and crazy like an insane person because of something memorable or sweet, write it down. Write it down on a piece paper with a date and a title on it and keep it at a random place or a “safety deposit box” that is only reachable by you.

If you’re feeling sad, depressed or miserable about something, write it on a piece of paper too, just write all of your sadness, anger, depression and speak all your emotions out on that particular piece of paper. When you’re feeling better, reread the paper, and then just crumple it and throw it away. Trust me, you will surely feel good.

On a common day, seek out for any of the happy letters that you written, read it and enjoy the sweet moment all by yourself and don't forget to keep it back safely as it might turn out as a priceless treasure in your future.

Quote of the day: A smile a day, keeps the wrinkles away.

Beggining.

Crossing paths and interacting with all sorts of people, going through teenage life crisis and mental tortures, bidding goodbye to secondary school life and with the sense of maturity growing up together with a wiser mind,
I decided to resume blogging and

I am giving it a fresh start with a new blog on the block.

Spread the love and happy reading.
